Strong public transport:A need for india

India is a growing economy and with billions of people aspiring to prove themselves and  cars have become a status symbol in our society.
According to a report of 2022 total number of vehicles in the country stood at 326.3 million and numbers are rising every year, with entry of new market players and easy loans on cars it is now super easy to own a car.
But for a country like India with vast geographical diversity and which depends heavily on export for fossil fuel personal cars are not a good solution and there should be more awareness among the masses to use public transport which would not only make India a pollution free country but also reduce the burden on roads which eventually helps in better monitoring, less accidents and less traffic jams.
I think india could lead and set examples to other nations by building best infrastructure for its public transport and strengthen CNG intercity bases,Electric interstate buses, web of metro lines to carry the burden of cities and move the crowd seamlessly and affordable trains as to make life easier for countrymen.Currently busses take more than 90% of public transportation space so it is clear need that we have to build more infrastructure as to increase share of other options as well.
There are several reasons why most Indians avoid public transports such as i'll time management,no sense of security, lack of cleanliness and absence of proper allocation system, but delhi metro which carries around 2.29 million people everyday sets an example of a robust public transportation system and other states should follow the footsteps.
It's clear that to attain sustainable development and to meet carbon norms we need to step out of individuality and need to embrace public transport system collectively, which will reduce our need on export of fossil fuels, create more employment in the system and there would be revenue in the hands of government to develop further more clean and systematic infrastructure.
